Mechanics of Dreaming
'To be or not to be - that is the question. Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles and by opposing end them. To die, to sleep - no more, and by a sleep to say we end the heartache and the thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to. 'Tis a consummation devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep, to sleep - perchance to dream. Aye, there's the rub, for in that sleep of death what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil.' Hamlet
What is lucid dreaming and is it helpful?????
'While your conscious minds sleeps, your subconscious mind is free to communicate uninterruptedly. When something in the message captures your conscious attention, upon awakening you will say, "I had a dream." Such memories enable you to draw upon information that has been given to you by your subconscious mind. They are a means to become aware of your own subconscious thinking. An example of this is the experience of author Mary Shelley. She had a dream. When she awoke the images were so vivid and alive in her conscious mind that she took the information that came from her own subconscious mind and she consciously created a wonderful novel that has become a volume of classical literature. The novel is Frankenstein.'
